Radioplayer, the collaborative radio platform backed by public service and commercial radio, is looking to re-tender its technology and support contract.

Now available in eight countries, Radioplayer delivers radio to millions of listeners a month, across an increasing number of platforms including web players, apps, smart-speakers like Amazon Alexa and Sonos, and car dashboards. The back-end technology that powers this is critical to Radioplayer’s success.

The technology and support contract, which will run for three years, has an expected start date of Q2 2018, with the tender document just issued, and applications required by January 30th 2018.

Interested companies should have a wide experience in the broadcast industry, a developed knowledge of the AWS platform, a desire to help shape the future of connected radio listening, and a willingness to work flexibly in partnership with the Radioplayer team, and Radioplayer stakeholders.

Lawrence Galkoff, General Manager for Radioplayer Worldwide commented: “The technology that drives Radioplayer is critical to our success and growth and the services we are able to deliver to our customers and their consumers. Finding the right technology supplier will be a key partnership in helping us continue to innovate on behalf of radio.”
