Super Hi-Fi

Audacy partners with Super Hi-Fi, which offers AI-powered radio services for broadcast and digital media companies, to transition five of its HD channels to use Super Hi-Fi’s Program Director Radio Operating System.

The companies announced the new agreement at the NAB Show in Las Vegas with the launch of “Audacy Innovation Radio: Live From NAB” on KMXB-HD2 Las Vegas. The HD station uses Super Hi-Fi’s suite of tools to program rotating formats across the day. Audacy national hosts are anchoring some of the dayparts using Super Hi-Fi’s recently launched Voicetrack Fusion.

“As the nation’s second-largest radio broadcaster, we’re always integrating cutting-edge technologies into our stack to deliver the best experiences for our 200 million monthly listeners and more efficiencies to our business,” Audacy CTO Sarah Foss said in a release. “This partnership underscores our commitment to building the future of digital Audio, and we’re thrilled to see it start coming to fruition.”

Additionally, Audacy will use the Super Hi-Fi tools for existing HD channels including WWBX-HD2 Boston, WLKK-HD2 Buffalo, KILT-HD2 Houston, KROQ-HD2 Los Angeles, and KNRK-HD2 Portland, OR.

The agreement follows the March announcement that Audacy’s 700 online-only stations recently upgraded to support Super Hi-Fi’s HLS+ streaming technology.

“We’re excited to work with Audacy as they re-imagine HD radio for their listeners,” Super Hi-Fi Chief Business Officer John Bolton added. “This partnership brings us one step closer to realizing our vision to transform radio for optimal digital consumption.”
