TV talk show host Jeremy Kyle, 53, is back on the radio with a weekly talkRADIO slot

The legendary presenter will return to his radio roots when he launches a studio debate and phone-in show on talkRADIO on Saturday

JEREMY Kyle is making a return to radio – after landing his own current affairs programme on talkRADIO.

The TV presenter, 53, will host The Jeremy Kyle Radio Show, which will delve into and debate the week’s biggest news stories.

And Jeremy, who will make his debut on the programme this Saturday, will be joined by high-profile guests as he debates the issues.

He said: “Radio was my first love as a broadcaster and where it all began for my on-air career.

“I can’t wait to return with talkRADIO, reviewing the week’s biggest stories and unpicking the issues with some big name guests too.

“As with all of my shows, audiences can expect open, honest opinion, a direct approach and no doubt a few a disagreements along the way.”

The new series will launch Saturday 18 August and will air between 1 and 4pm.

As well as featuring lively studio discussion and debate the slot will also see Jeremy take listener phone-ins to get the public’s view on the news agenda that week.

Speaking about Jeremy’s new show, talkRADIO programme director Dennie Morris added: “talkRADIO aims to get the nation talking and that’s exactly what we’ll get with Jeremy, who is synonymous with up-front, unfiltered opinion.

“This broadcasting legend will hugely appeal to our listeners and bring in new audiences with his no-nonsense attitude and candid, outspoken views.”

Jeremy first launched his career on the radio – as he worked at local radio stations in Somerset and Leicester in the Nineties.

He then went on to present Jezza’s Virgin Confessions on Virgin Radio in 2002 before moving to Capital FM for the Confessions show.

The TV star also worked for Talksport in 2008 to present a lunchtime sports show every Sunday called The Jeremy Kyle Sunday Sports Show.
